Collective
Fair Love Collective grew out of a long-term collaboration between playwright Sonya Krasnova and composer/accordionist Zhenya Popova. Their partnership began in Moscow and quickly gained attention, debuting at Reykjavik Festival with Tango Fairytale, followed by the touring production Outstanding Dreams of a Mediocre Man.
In 2022 the duo became a geographically dispersed collective, with Krasnova relocating to the UK and Popova to Montenegro. This period of displacement gave rise to some of their most poignant work: Bramble Night — a puppet show exploring migration through the invented instrument "atmophone" — and Contemporary Myth, a surreal reflection on war. These projects helped define the collective's current artistic identity and brought new permanent collaborators into the ensemble, including Hannah Harris and Ethan Roberts.
Most recently, the collective created Metamodernists in Love, a surrealist piece built from 50 verbatim interviews about love. Following a 4-star run at Camden People's Theatre, the production was described by critics as a "unique, brilliant experiment." Now joined by Glastonbury musician Alex Hall, Fair Love Collective continues to explore the intersection of physical theatre, live music, and surrealist comedy.
Faces

Hannah Harris
Actor
Hannah Harris trained in fancy-pants drama schools in London and Moscow and is extremely keen on this acting lark. When she's not in front of an audience/camera/microphone, she loves scuba diving, globetrotting and searching for the best vegan pastries, though not necessarily at the same time. Recent work includes The Devil's Doorbell (Shakespeare North) and The Evil Fairy Queen (2024).

Zhenya Popova
Musician & Composer
Zhenya Popova is an accordionist, pianist, composer and part-time old fisherman Pedro (at Pedro y Juan), part-time Popova (at Korolev Popova) and full-time herself (at Evgeny Grinko ensemble). She's a lifelong co-author of Sofya's projects, from theatre stages to TV screens — an artistic partnership built on intuition, trust, tango and prosecco. Their motto: "I think you are right because I think the same thing." Zhenya played her way across Europe, the Balkans, Turkey and the UK and recently wrapped a course in Film Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. When not making music or studying Music Therapy, she can be found gardening, knitting, or wrangling her two great loves: a small daughter and a large dog.

Sonya Krasnova
Producer & Dialogineer
Sonya Krasnova (Sonya is short for Sofya; some people are good at saving time) is a theatre producer, dialogineer and social dancer. Her mother thinks she should paint more. With over a decade of experience across live performance, TV shows and short films, she specialises in projects that drift somewhere between myth, movement and collective imagination. She's scripted everything from children's theatre to environmental films — usually while building a community around it. All the time she really spends dancing tango or sitting happily on a boat — as long as Zhenya or Valya is steering.

Ethan Roberts
Actor
Ethan Roberts trained/messed about in London and loves performing on stage and on camera. While he isn't doing either of those things, he can be found shaking cocktails for minimum wage and belting out Johnny Cash… which his twin brother hates. Recent work includes "Reawakening" alongside Jared Harris and Juliet Stevenson, and a European tour of "The Great Gatsby".

Alina Golubeva
Music Curator & Producer
Alina Golubeva juggles music curation, creative production and a lifelong love affair with sad bearded men and their acoustic guitars. She's collaborated with Gucci, Netflix and NASA (yes, that NASA), and still gets excited about the way a single voice fills a stone chapel. When not producing concerts in gothic churches or experimental sound installations, she's probably somewhere between a Eurostar and an oat matcha latte. Recent projects include an acoustic concert at Barbican's St Giles Cripplegate and the Pascol vocal performance at Stone Nest.

Valya Korabelnikova
Photographer
Valya Korabelnikova takes photos somewhere between art and documentary, usually on film and usually too many. She's into memory, myth and moody lighting. When not making zines or planning exhibitions, she's probably rethinking her whole life somewhere between dancing and birdwatching — or getting emotionally attached to something far too beautiful not to derail everything.

Alex Hall
Musician & Songwriter
Alex Hall — musician, songwriter and performer — an invite as music producer to work at Warner UK Studios, an inclusion on the prestigious BBC Introducing list of 'Ones To Watch' 2022 and a second appearance scheduled at Glastonbury festival in 2023. An adept multi-instrumentalist, and a creator of the quirkiest short movies for his insta-reels. For that we all have to go sometimes to some strange places in the middle of the night.
